Who can fast?

People who are healthy and physically fit and do not need to take any medication can fast.

You have to be mentally stable and able to take decisions.

Who should not fast?

- Children and teenagers

- Elderly people

- Pregnant and breastfeeding women

- Dialysis patients

- After severe illness or operation

- People who must take medication. In this case you should go to a fasting clinic and fast under the supervision of a fasting physician.

- People who suffer from:

  • Thyroid hyperfunction
  • Diabetes Mellitus Type 1
  • Cancer
  • Polyarthritis
  • Liver and renal dysfunction
  • Cardiac disease
  • People who have been depressed for a long time or are emotionally unstable
  • Gastric and intestinal ulcers
  • Drug and alcohol addiction
  • An eating disorder such as binge eating, anorexia or bulimia
